As the "Chief" had freshly picked Papayas from his tree 😋😋 Finally I figured out that he pronounces 5he word bird so different that I always understood bats 😂🙈 but once figured it out, some conversation about the area made sense 🤭🤭

After all packed up we tackled the dirt track back to the main road and it felt much aesier.

The driving to Chuka was pretty unspectacular, green with lots of plantations of bananas. Passing one of the biggest dam of Kenya we were not allowed to stop for a picture. I kindly got informed by the military as I didn't see the sign ☺

In Chuka we went to the Hidden Treasure Hotel we had picked on google. It was indeed a bit hidden of town, but next to a strong flowing river. One of the girls showed us the hotel where we checked in for one night as only KSH3000 ppn incl breakfast.

As we were very hungry we walked back down to the restaurant, where still our bikes were parked.

We ordered a pizza and had something to drink. As it took so long, I walked around on the terrace of the restaurant...just toentertain me. Suddenly I saw the boy from the bar going downstairs to speak to the girl that took our order. She came upstairs to inform us that the pizza is still another 30mins 😳😳 Seriously, 90mins for a pizza!!! No explanation why within the last 60mins nothing has happened!!! I know what happened - but they wouldn't admit!! Over their own lunch, chatting away, they totally forgot about us!!! Not sure, when they would have remembered if it was not the boy of the bar!! I really had it, so the girl got the shitstorm 😤😤 of me - don't lie to me, and mess around when I am hungry!!

I took then in the meantime my bike up to the hotel, and "surprise, surprise" one of the girls of the kitchen arrived.

I quickly took my stuff upstairs and changed to lighter clothes. When I was back at the restaurant there was still no pizza, but in total of 2 hrs after ordering we got our pizza 🤪 It was not the best, but filled a big hole (in my belly)! They didn't give us a discount, so I complained again. Again the girl couldn't take action to wave the waters, so I left without payment until it is sorted. And she, and the others still came up with all sorts of stories 😳🙄 Seriously!!

The evening I just made the most out of the wifi "binge watching". During the night I woke up with hot sweats and a massive migraine 😖🤢 which unfortunately worsened as I got hungry - at 3am! I had some water, but that triggered 🤮🤮 That is not a good migraine!!

The next morning I informed Damian that I will stay another night to recover, and he was happy to do so. I had for breakfast and lunch a huge amount of toast with peanutbutter. At least like that I got better and at the night I slept very well 😁
