It was so hard to say Good-bye to Lynne and Erin as again I had such a fantastic time with them 🤩 However, already looking forward to the next time 😁🤸‍♀️😁

It was a pretty panorama on the way to the border.

Leaving South Africa was pretty easy with stamping passport and carnet.

Mozambique was also easy, but it was dragging on as the official asked all sorts of questions and was not the fastest 😅 Here in the South things seem to be a bit different as they wouldn't take USD, but credit card 😅. Also nobody is in the "fundo de estrada" (road tax) interested. This time they didn't stamp my carnet, but gave me the TIP document- so lets see how the exiting will be like ... I was done in about 90mins, not too bad actually.

The road to Msputo was pretty boring. In Maputo, on yhe last 5km to the Guesthouse, I really hit the rush hour 🙄 Just when I actually thought of "my phone could get stolen" a lady leaned out of a bus window telling me to ge careful about my phone 🤓

I made ut to the Guesthouse. Dona Imelda was really sweet - she gave me fresh Maracuja juice as I was really thirsty.

Once settled in my tiny room, and had a shower, I contacted Jogan, a hoid friend of Clare. He lives here and we agreed to go for dinner.

He collected me about 18h00 and we went to a very nice restaurant at yhe seafront - unfortunately couldn't see anything as already night!

Johan has an interesting career as ex-militar with the world in Angola and then Kosovo and Iraq. Dinner was really nice good - Johan had ordered far too much though 😉

The next morning I had planned to walk around town including getting a local SIMcard and some cash as the bank close to the Guesthouse didn't have any.

At 12h00 I was also suppose to meet Preta, a local biker girl, for lunch.

The first vanks had no money snd then BCI had money, but I had to queue up for almost 20mins 😱 Next on my list was the local SIMcard. That took also some time, do I texted Preta, that it would be 12h30 as still a long walk there. Including passing the famous building of the train station built by Gustav Eiffel.

The walk along the seafront was really nice.

Unfortunately Preta had a problem with her bike so she was running late, but I had sent her the menu already through to order. So when she arrived the food came shortly after!

It was do great yo meet a local female biker! And she said there do many that would love yo meet me. Unfortunately I had said to Christian and Mario, two other (seperate) overlabder that I will be on Thursday, Friday in Tofu to meet. Otherwise I would have extended another night to meet some of the other bikers ... so I obviously have to come back again 🤩😁

It was planned to meet Johan for dinner, but he was still busy with meetings so we agreed to meet tomorrow morning for a cafe on my way out.
