I checked out about 13h00 of my room and Stephen was available for lunch after 14h00, which was perfect timing. In the meantime I booked my flight home to Portugal from Johannesburg, South Africa, for 20th November.

I walked all the way to the Orchid Cafe where I will meet Stephen. Unfortunately the inside was reserved by a private party, but we still could sit outside at the terrace. Luckily it was not too sunny as they didn't have any shades πŸ™„

It was nice chatting again about bikes and travelling. About 16h30 I walked back to the hotel, got my stuff and called a Bolt BodaBoda to take me to the train station. I could walk it, if I wouldn't have the heavy, bulky package as it is only 15mins walking distance.

Again there was no space to sit whilst waiting, and this time it was long waiting. I am again impressed on the punctuality of that SGR train! It arrived at 18h10, on the minute, from Dodoma. 10 carriages to exit, and by 18h35 we were allowed to enter, again 10 waggon full, and 18h55 we left! Try that in Germany πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Joshua had arranged with Francis to pick me up at 23h00 in Dodoma. What we didn't arrange was the meeting point! So I walked all the parking lots along, peering my eyes open for him - not sure if I would have recognised him though! In the end I called him, he waited at the entrance of the parking.

It felt like coming home, especially as I got the same room again.

As the next day was Sunday and Josh had already plans, I just stayed at my room.

Monday morning we met to do the installation, which took us this time much longer than usually, the out and then the in πŸ€”

Once all was in place, we went for a clean and some lunch, a small test ride. Oh, what a difference not to bother or think about stones, potholes or road fixes 🀟😁🀟

After lunch I put all my luggage back on trying to pack all back as it's space and then it was 18h00 to go to the mechanic. He should see my bike fully loaded and actually I still owed him money, that he waved off 😊 He got a BMW F800GS now himself! Fantastic! We chatted until about 21h00.

The next day, Josh helped me to arrange auxiliary lights and the brackets. The production of these brackets took good 2 hours πŸ™„πŸ˜³. Once we had it all we went to visit Joshs parents as I haven't met his dad yet. It was such a lovely afternoon with the chatting.

However, we still had to install the auxiliary lights and at 19h00 we would have a little farewell party.

On the way to Josh I lost him in traffic, but arrived before him- strange! I called him and he was helping a friend that had just at the junction to his place an accident- I didn't see them! So I told him not too worry, I would find a solution along the road.

Just after 19h00 I was at the restaurant but about 20h00 only we were nearly all completed πŸ™„

However, it was nice to see Francis, Frank (mechanic), Ibrahim and his wife (wedding) and some new faces.

After the pizza each was holding a nice, brief speech and then it was time for more pictures, this time by a professional! I was amazed by all that effort!!

And then it was really saying Good-bye to nearly everyone πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί after almost 2 months in Dodoma. It felt so weird!
