After the breakfast, I past by Nalimo at his office to thank him and wave a bye till my return.
The weather was at least nice and dry, until halfway though.
In Lindela at a road side restaurant I met up with Nick again. When I ordered my lunch it started bucketing it down. So I had an excuse ordering a brandy with my cafe - didn't take me long to convince Nick to one too 🤭
Then we headed down to Tofo together. It felt like coming home 🤭 I took accidentally the wrong turn, but we found the place, but at bit more sand involved 😵💫
It was a big Hallo seeing Sascha & Chris. In the evening I met most of the other hosts like Sheryl from New Zealand, a lovely shy boy from Japan, a guy from Argentina and a completely shy girl from China.
The next morning Sascha, Sheryl and I went to the monument lookout, but unfortunately no whales to spot 😟
As that evening was a BBQ planned, I needed to get some ingredients in the village later. I opted to make garlic bread, which I never have prepared before.
Whilst at the supermarket I, of course, had a cafe next door.
Later the afternoon I prepared the garlic bread, which came out nicely ✌️
Chris had chicken, fish, sausage and some beef on the BBQ. Through the others we had rice, salad, potatoes, veggies and my garlic bread. It was a lovely fun evening.
The next day arrived Kieran, Nicks travel partner.
The next day I had an lovely morning walk with Sheryl and we saw in distance some whales - it was so amazing 🤩
We had a drink at the restaurant C-mew and met the owner.
The next day Sheryl and I had planned an late lunch there. It was lovely food and then we saw the whales again, first mainly the blow. It was so amazing!!
At the view point we sat and observed and suddenly a whale came up in front of us - we just grabbed each other's arms!! And then we saw them in front of the restaurant "waving" to us - I took it as a Good bye 👋. That was the cherry on the cake!!!
